In his message at the 33rd night of the fasting praise and prayer crusade, brother Theodore developed further the way Samuel took a backslidden nation and made it into a spiritual nation. Reading from Psalm 1, brother Theodore noted that Samuel chose to be different from his brothers, the sons of Eli. He turned away from mockers, sinners, those who are too bold, those who are too curious, and chose the path of seeking God.
He therefore urged all who want to be blessed to turn away from Canaanites in the world, and particularly Perizzites in the church, those who laugh at zealous brethren in church, are too bold in their recreations, conversations and relationship, those who are to curious. The leader, then led the warriors to pray that God will give people like Samuel who are not afraid to be different from what is popular with their peers in the world and the popular path with peers group in the church.
In learning further from Samuel how to go about to build our spiritual nation, brother Theodore noted that Samuel chose wisely the tools that would be effective in building the nation of Israel. He explained that Samuel chose prayer and teaching to transform a backslidden, broken and scattered nation into a nation of God. Samuel used prayer, not as a slogan, but a dynamic, moulding, spiritualising and powerful tool, the leader further commented. Samuel manifested God through prayer and brought the whole nation back to the vision of God for Israel.
Brother Theodore, therefore highlighted that, if we will build our Community into the spiritual nation God wants, we need leaders who pray, not just for hours, but who know the power of prayer, the prowess of prayer, who know how prayer works, who have prayer victories; we need to pray, and manifest God, until worldly leaders repent because they have seen God.
