God’s Power Can Become Man’s Power (Z.T. Fomum)

In the original purpose of God, man was created to have all the power of God at his disposal and to exercise and use it as God’s delegated authority in submission to God. In creating man He said,

“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them; “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth”” (Genesis 1:26-28).

So man was meant by God to exercise much power, manifested in:-

  1. Having dominion over all the rest of creation
  2. Being fruitful
  3. Multiplying
  4. Filling the earth with godliness
  5. Subduing the earth.

That purpose of God was attacked by the wicked one and man fell and became dominated. Yet God is God. Whenever He wills and through whosoever He wills.

He allows His power to be manifested. Whenever He finds people who satisfy His heart and walk close to Him, He allows His power to flow through them in a limitless way. In the coming millennial kingdom of the Lord Jesus and in the final kingdom of God, His power, manifested through and in those who love Him, shall be limitless. His ultimate purpose must be fulfilled, for how can it be thwarted?

Today, He is using different types of people to manifest His power, but His heart’s desire is that He will find in the children of the kingdom the type of vessels through which His power can flow without limitation. May all His children become such vessels and the church will never lack power!
