Non-violent prayer is not prayer at all. It is a waste of time. The Lord started to talk about praying with violence since 1995. Some of you here have spent the last 15 years wasting their time at the place of prayer that they are praying because of non-violent praying. It is hypocrisy to pray without violence. To pray without violence is saying to the Lord Jesus that you want to teach Him how to pray since He prayed with violence. Henceforth, coming to this place of prayer is to pray with violence, if not stay home and sleep. Pray with violence so that your prayers may reach heaven and shake Heaven to answer. The Lord Jesus Christ’s example in Luke 22:39-44 shows us that the Lord Himself prayed with great tears, loud cries and with violence until His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
The person who is lazy at prayer will not receive answers to prayers from God. Feeble prayers cannot tickle Heaven to react. Prayers with violence produce results. It needs violence to break through in the kingdom of Satan and shatter his barriers and then breakthrough in heaven and bring answers down.
We must pray with such might or with all our energy that answers should not delay to come. In Acts 4:31, when the believers had prayed, the place where they gathered together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
It is prayers that are prayed without a burden that fail to move Heaven and so are not answered. Prayers with a burden are those that bring answers from Heaven.
Write 1000 prayer topics that you alone pray so that when they are answered you will know that God answers your prayers.
Indulgent praying talks of an indulgent life because a person’s being and his praying are one. You are at the place of prayer what your life away from the place of prayer is. The Son of God prayed till angels came down to strengthen Him. When did you pray till angels came to strengthen you? Is it why you are still facing some temptations that you faced as young convert? When heaven and earth shake, true prayer has risen to God; prayer that flows from burden has been lifted to God!

An indulgent fast is where one is able to fast for 40 days but he chooses to fast for 21 days; when one can fast 21 days, but choose to fast 14 days and so forth– choosing the easy way. The person who fasts in this way will not move God with such indulgent fasting. The Lord Jesus prayed with all His strength and in violence and He sweated blood. God expects a man to invest all (his physical strength) when he prays and when undertakes a fast. God acts far beyond what we think or imagine but He acts on condition that a man’s all is invested into the asking. God does not know anything that is not the overflow of the all of a man.
God will not bless you if you do not invest bleedingly in prayer and in fasting to move Him to act. Where are the marks of bleeding praying and bleeding fasting to the Lord in your life? God gives His best only to those who put in their all in what they are doing to move Him to act.
If you want to pray and fast with ease, you will be attempting to corrupt Him to act since you can but refuse to pay the commensurate price.
The devil only withdraws when there is violent hitting hard with heavy blows on him, on his demons and on his structures.
The Lord Jesus fasted and the devil came out of his hiding place. Fasting is the weapon to destroy the devil’s kingdom, so this must be done with great violence. It was on the 40th day of fasting that the devil could not resist the Lord Jesus anymore, so he came out to tempt the Lord. If you can fast for 40 days and you settle for 30 or 21 days fast, your fast is indulgent. If you can fast for 21 days and you decide to fast for 14, 10 or 7 days, you are being indulgent in your fast. You are not putting in your all as you ought to and therefore, your fast will not move God. There will be nothing of significance accomplished by a life lived with God in prayer and fasting if it is indulgent prayer and indulgent fasting. The life that wins is one of warfare; it is one of conflict. Do not be indulgent. Abandon it for ever.
Pray that this law of warfare with violence will be engraved in the hearts of the saints in our ministry worldwide.
When did you compel the devil to come out of his hiding place by your fasting?
Everything done for God must be done with the power of a man’s all. You need to repent if:
- you could fast 40 days but you chose to stop at 30 days,
- or you could fast 30 days and stopped at 21 days,
- or if you could fast 21 days and you chose to stop at 14 days,
- or you could go for 14 days and you stopped at 10 days,
- or instead of going for 10 days you stopped at 7 days,
- or instead of going for 7 days you stopped at 3 days.
O lives buried by indulgence, even in stopping fasts before time!
Stop soiling or dirtying the glory of the Lord because of gluttony e.g. breaking your fast before time or burrying the impact of the fast on the first day of breaking the fast by gluttony. If you commit gluttony on the day you break your fast, you have hindered the impact of your fast greatly. You have quenched the impact of the fast by the impact of the sin of gluttony. Do you eat intermittently every 2, 3 or 4 hours after you have broken the fast because of gluttony? Pray and ask for the dismantling of this idol of gluttony in your life. To break the fast in gluttony means that your fast produced gluttony and that is terrible. To commit gluttony is to promote the kingdom of Satan, whereas fasts are the dismantling of the kingdom of Satan.
If you have committed gluttony on stopping fasts, repent of this work of the devil and be restored to the model of the Lord Jesus Christ in fasting and stopping fasts. Take note of these points as you fast for revival for 22nd March 2009 when the Holy Spirit will come down.
- All the saints in CMFI beginning from Yaounde to the extremities of the earth must fast –children, youth, parents, grandparents, all.
- They must undertake the longest period of fast in their fasting life that they can put in.
- They must fast to give all the glory to God. He who fasts for his personal glory fasts for self-deception. Such a person receives nothing in return. He who fasts for God’s glory and for his own personal glory has committed the worst folly of his life. He will receive nothing in return. If he fasts for the exclusive glory of the Lord Jesus, he will be blessed beyond measure.
- Pray that the fast should end in purity (of heart). This means that no gluttony must be committed at the breaking of fast, on the day following the day of breaking the fast or on the following days. There must be total self-discipline in order to consolidate the fast.
Pray that multitudes in our ministry will begin the fast on 20th March 2009. Every creature in CMFI worldwide will fast. More than 100,000 saints, fasting saints will shout or sound the trumpet of victory on 22nd March 2009!!!
