The message of brother Theodore at the 29th night of the fasting praise and prayer crusade was a further development of sanctuary might as announced two nights before. From the outset, brother Theodore said that there is a way of the sanctuary, which is a way to Mercy Seat, to the throne. It is a way for the sinner to leave the world and come to God. In the Old Testament, it was the Tabernacle, which was a symbol of the principles to enter into a relationship with God.
Expounding on this, the leader said that in the Tabernacle, there was the altar: an appointment, a door to the Throne, an object to reach God. The altar calls for sacrifice. Sacrifice, he specified, is a gift whose value is set in terms of the amount, or in terms of how precious what the thing given is to the giver. Brother Theodore commented that God calls each worshipper to the altar first before he gets to the throne.
He then explained that now, the Tabernacle is the believer, and the Holy of holies is the believer’s spirit where God dwells through the indwelling Holy Spirit. And when you walk the way of the Cross, that is the way of sacrifice, the indwelling Holy Spirit becomes the anointing of the Holy Spirit, His power, His glory, His authority. The way of sacrifice is the only way to God, brother Theodore added. This include the sacrifice of the Saviour that opens the way to the Throne, and which the believer accesses by faith, and then the sacrifice of obedience which gives the believer access to God.
Brother Theodore emphasized further that there is no worship without giving. And anything beyond the strict minimum for living is the fat that is to be offered exclusively to God.
He took two examples of people who experienced the hand of God through Giving. Solomon who gave excessively to God, encountered Him, and was promoted from a young confused leader, to a generational leader. And also the Shunammite who gave and could enter the miracles God had deposited on Elisha.
Brother Theodore also highlighted another way, the way of consecration. This is the Nazirite way, which consists in separation from legitimate pleasures.
All these ways, brother Theodore said, are elements of the sanctuary might, might that brings God, His glory, His power, His authority; and Brother Zach has indeed developed these as disciplines of his life. Sanctuary might, as developed in our ministry, is the call to hunger thirst, pant for God, to seek Him, find Him, know Him, enjoy Him, and be enjoyed by Him, brother Theodore explained.
To conclude, he said to build our nation some should bring us victories on the mission fields, and others should be officials of the sanctuary and officials of God, who will bring God through prayer, praise, thanksgiving, teaching, holiness, consecration, sacrifice, worship.
