In his message at the 37th night of the Fasting, Praise and Prayer crusade, brother Theodore, emphasized on Samuel as a nation builder. He emphasised that Samuel built himself, he was built by Eli; through his walk with God, and his spiritual progress, he built himself into a man that God could use to build the nation of Israel.
Samuel, brother Theodore noted, also chose the tools to build the nation, namely prayer and teaching. He noted that many of our leader do not teach; they like to exercise undue authority on the people under them. Talking about authority, the leader emphasized that to expect authority is obtained by obedience. You will have authority in the domain where you have obeyed the Lord, in the domains of your life where you have allowed God to gain grounds. Jesus Christ obeyed in everything and God gave Him authority on every being so that in His name every knee should bow down and every tongue confess that He is Lord to the glory of the Father. Every victory Jesus wins in you, God will win it in others under you, brother Theodore further said, insisting that the conquest of the world starts with the conquest of yourself. To further illustrate the truth that authority is directly linked to obedience, the leader quoted the case of Adam, and his downfall due to disobedience.
Brother Theodore therefore, disclosed that the greatest need of the hour for our ministry is leaders who walk with God, who make spiritual progress; leaders in whom God has won victories, and who have subjected the whole of their lives to Jesus; leaders who will impact those who follow them, and who will make true disciples.
Note that as the crusade draws to an end, brother Theodore also organised the prayer in the Headquarters after the crusade so that the fire should keep burning.
