During the 10th night of the Fasting Praise and Prayer Crusade, in line with the programme of his slot announced earlier, brother Theodore led the community to establish the teaching of the previous night in prayer. As a first prayer topic, brother Theodore called the community to pray that the saints will be committed to the mission of one billion disciples that God demands from us.
The leader also led the brethren to pray that leaders in our ministry will stop looking for church members, but that they should instead build disciples.
The third prayer topic given was that our leaders will work the way the Lord Jesus did; that our leaders, pastors, missionary will have big ministries. On this specific aspect, brother Theodore used his personal experience to shed light on what it means to build a big ministry. He specifically said that one should build on what already exists. Instead of trying to make a name for himself, one should build on what their predecessors have done, brother Theodore further commented.
Building a big ministry also implies working with others, the leader further noted. He explained that everyone has a role to play in the work the Lord has given us. On the contrary, when people work individually, the work does not go far, and nothing significant is produced.
Brother Theodore emphasized that the Lord Jesus paid a price for the whole world. In the same way all the leaders of the ministry should pay the price for our global success no matter the state of their personal ministries; whether they succeed more or less than the others, whatever their posts. The price, brother Theodore said, should be paid in prayer, fasting, encouragement, information, etc.
To sum it up, the speaker gave the JOY formula that should guide the actions of all, signifying:
- Disciples of the Jesus-Christ to make disciples for Jesus-Christ
- Personal Spiritual Revival
- The Ministry of Fasting
- Life-Changing Thoughts on Fasting (Vol 1)
- Practical Helps in Fasting Long Fasts
- Building a Spiritual Nation
