There are benefits that accrue for the woman who pleases her husband and for their home. She reaps many more for herself:

She is loved by her husband and finds grace and favour before him more than all other women: “The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins” (Esther 2:17a).

She is promoted by her husband and established as queen in the home even as her husband is king therein: “… he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen...” (Esther 2:17b).

She is honoured by her husband and finds favour in the eyes of others: “... Esther found favour in the eyes of all who saw her” (Esther 2:15b). “And the maiden pleased him and won his favour...” (Esther 2:9a).

She receives authority from her husband; to put it better, she has powerover him. “And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she found favour in his sight and he held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand” (Esther 5:2). “And the king said to her, “What is it, Queen Esther? We conclude by saying that a woman who pleases her husband guarantees the success of her union with her husband. Besides, there are blessings at all levels in store for her. We emphasize that each wife can please her husband. It is a matter of choice. She who does not please her husband has chosen not to do so, and will have only herself to blame if her marriage does not succeed as it ought to have succeeded.
