One of my big fears has been that the convention ends up just being an event. We don’t just want an event that God blesses—we come, we give account, we praise God; we trade fair the ministry and all that goes with it. That’s the dramatic element.
The convention that is coming is an event. Under the event,
- There is the convention,
- there is the missionary concertation,
- it is a time of accountability.
- It is a time of praise and thanksgiving,
- it is a time of celebration,
- it is a time of fellowship.
- We will meet our past,
- We will meet the brethren,
- We will meet the future – by planning.
That’s the event.
One of my big fears has been that the convention ends up just being an event. We don’t just want an event that God blesses—we come, we give account, we praise God; we trade fair the ministry and all that goes with it. That’s the dramatic element. That is the sensational element. We celebrate an accomplished goal, we meet one another, we eat, we have quality praise, and we have a CMFI Christmas since the Convention is in December.
We shall have the event, but beyond the event, what I’m personally crying out to God for, is that the Convention would be an encounter with God; to trigger the revival of CMFI. The revival of CMFI is
- when God saves all those who are not saved in our ministry.
- to bring all the believers to their first love for the Lord Jesus.
- to be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit in their assigned task for world conquest.
I am pleading with God, that God will come down upon us, in December, so that the widespread revival can go all over the world. I am crying out to God, that God will have an appointment—a rendezvous with CMFI. Those who will be present, those who will be connected, those who will go from here, wherever God has established us. So that all over the world, where our ministry is, those who are not saved, would encounter the Lord Jesus. So that those who are backslidden, may return to their first love for the Lord Jesus. So that those who are labouring to serve the Lord, may receive the indispensable endowment with power and the Holy Spirit. That is the revival of those in CMFI:
- The salvation of all who are members of CMFI who are not saved.
- The return to the first love for those who are backslidden.
- The infilling with the Holy Spirit for those who need to serve Him so that they serve in the power of Another.
That’s the revival of CMFI.
There have been pockets of it, springing up in different places; but I’m pleading with God, that December will be, … God breaking through into all CMFI—Our Children who are not saved that they may be saved. That the many who are backslidden will be restored to their first love for the Lord Jesus. That the many barren and impotent people who are serving the Lord in the flesh may be filled, with Pentecost, to serve the Lord. That’s the revival of CMFI.
My prayer is that this December will be that encounter; so that God may do something which no amount of teaching can do; so that God may do something which no amount of resolutions and self-will can do – to carry us into a normal plane; so that we enter Phase Three normal. And for that, we can have the event, without having the encounter!
They are separate issues. We can have the event without having the encounter:
- an event for the accountability of Phase Two,
- an event for the celebration of a new take-off,
- an event for fellowship,
- an event for communicating the vision,
- an event for everything that man can do,
without the encounter.
The burden on my heart is that the convention will also be an encounter with God. That’s what the ministry fast will be about, in October-November. We will be crying out to God for an encounter,
- an encounter with individuals,
- an encounter with churches,
- an encounter with nations.
God’s visitation, God’s Rendez-Vous with the CMFI. We are going to be crying out to God, that the convention will be an encounter with God’s presence. Many people don’t know God’s presence; they have never felt God’s presence. Their whole Christianity has just been their thoughts, they think, think, think, think; they feel, feel, feel, feel; but they don’t know God’s presence. We want December to be an encounter with God’s presence, that God will come down. So that His children feel Him, so that each one knows, I met God, not that they are told, that we met God. We want December to be an encounter with God’s power,
- to meet needs,
- to heal,
- to break curses,
so that a healthy people enter into Phase Three. An encounter with God’s power, so that needs are met – the brethren have needs. It is not people limited by the presence of demons that will accomplish the goal. Men have to be set free, so that their potential can be available, for God. How can a lame leg run? We blame people, what kind of legislation can you make so that a lame leg should start running faster? There are people who are just bound. They need to be set free. We want the power of God to come down, so that those in need, may encounter the power of God. We want to pray, that December will be an encounter with God’s Spirit— that many will be filled with the Holy Spirit, that many will be anointed with the Holy Spirit, that many will be possessed by the Holy Spirit. We want the convention to be an encounter with God’s Spirit – for the individuals, for us as a movement. We want to cry out to God, that December will be an encounter with God’s Holiness, that people will meet the God of Holiness and the Holiness of God; so that the fear of God may remain in our hearts—forever!
We want December to be an encounter with God’s glory – that God will give us a vision of something more meaningful than just our self-satisfaction; that the glory of God will be revealed to us. When God revealed His Glory to Moses, it was His goodness that He showed Moses. What the glory of God will mean for each one of us, may not be the same. But let God show us His glory. The fact that He is apart. God is not a synonym of us. God is not a projection of some humanoid attributes. He is God. He is apart!
… And in nine other domains that the convention may be an encounter with God.
